I-35 from RM 150 to Kyle Crossing

Overview

This project consists of ramp reversals for four northbound I-35 ramps between Kyle Crossing and RM 150.

• Improve safety and mobility

Project Description

• Reverse northbound ramp configurations between RM 150 and Kyle Crossing
• Construct extended lanes between entrance and exit ramps along the northbound frontage road between RM 150 and Kyle Crossing
• Reconstruct existing portions of the northbound frontage road between RM 150 and Kyle Crossing, including a new bridge over Plum Creek

Funding

• Project development funded by TxDOT
• Construction funded by the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization and TxDOT
• Construction cost: $21.9 million

Schedule

• Finalized schematic and environmental documentation: March 2017
• Begin Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E): July 2016
• Complete PS&E: April 2020
• Construction letting: April 2020
• Construction start: September 2020
• Construction completion: November 2022
