Phases & Funding
An individual project is developed through five phases, from planning to construction. Public involvement is an important aspect of project development that occurs throughout each of the five phases of a project.
The first two phases of project development in the Mobility35 plan are dedicated to the creation of Implementation Plans. The latest versions of the Corridor Implementation Plans provide a detailed list of projects for Travis, Williamson and Hays counties.
The third phase of project development in the Mobility35 plan involves the preparation of design schematics, determination of right of way needs, and development and processing of environmental documentation. The fourth phase is dedicated to preparing detailed construction plans, acquiring right of way, adjusting utilities (if necessary), and preparing detailed cost estimates. Once funding has been identified, the fifth and final phase consists of releasing final proposals, advertising and awarding bid contracts, and initiating project construction.
Projects under active development have individual project pages on the My35 website.
To date, funding has not been identified for most of the Mobility35 projects. The funding status for each Mobility35 project can be found on the individual project’s webpage. Funding the Mobility35 program will require collaborative action from local, state and federal agencies, as well as from citizens and elected officials.
