SECTION 1B: SALADO (FM 2843 TO FM 2484)

  • Complete striping operations.
  • General cleanup throughout the project.
  • Install dynamic message signs.
  • Electrical subcontractor replacing/installing light poles at various ramps and completing lighting for overpass structures.

SECTION 1C: SALADO TO BELTON (FM 2484 TO US 190/FM 436)

  • Electrical subcontractor began replacing/ installing light poles at various ramps.

DOWN THE ROAD

  • Continue replacing/installing light poles at various ramps and illumination at overpasses.
  • Complete striping operations.
  • Install dynamic message signs.

SECTION 2B: TEMPLE (S. LOOP 363 TO N. LOOP 363)

MILESTONES

  • Completed Nugent Underpass construction.
  • Opened Nugent Dr. to four lanes.

DOWN THE ROAD

  • Continue installing the concrete rail along the southbound frontage road at the 57th St. underpass and turnarounds.
  • Continue constructing the retaining wall on the east side of I-35 Nugent Ave. underpass.
  • Continue installing retaining wall on the east side of Adams/Central Interchange.
  • Continue reconstructing the permanent northbound frontage road from S. Loop 363 through the Ira Young St. interchange.
  • Continue constructing the BNSF Railroad underpass.
  • Continue constructing the southbound mainlanes pavement from the north end of the project to the BNSF railroad underpass.
  • Continue constructing the second phase of the southbound mainlanes overpass at the BNSF Lampas-Sub Railroad.
  • Continue constructing the right lanes and new shopping center entrance at Commerce St.
  • Continue constructing the northbound frontage road from S. Loop 363 through Avenue H.

SECTION 3A-1: TEMPLE TO TROY (N. LOOP 363 TO N. TROY CITY LIMIT)

MILESTONES

  • Switched traffic onto new concrete paving from just north of FM 1237/Pendleton Rd. (exit 306) to just north of North Troy crossing.
  • Opened new S. Troy bridge to traffic.

DOWN THE ROAD

  • Continue working on the northbound frontage road between Berger/Hart Rd. and FM 1237.
  • Continue working on the northbound frontage road just north of N. Loop 363.
  • Install signs for the new southbound mainlanes.
  • Continue working on the bridge embankment for northbound mainlane bridges at FM 1237 and FM 935.
  • Continue pouring concrete pavement on the new northbound mainlane between Berger Rd. and FM 935/Pendleton Rd.
  • Set bridge beams for new northbound mainlane FM 1237 bridge.
  • Continue removing pavement from old northbound mainlane between FM 1237 and North Troy crossing.
  • Constructing drainage structures across the old northbound mainlane.
  • Continue working on new northbound Exit 308 to FM 935 and the new northbound entrance ramp just north of FM 935.
  • Continue working on North Troy intersection.

SECTION 3A-2: TROY TO BRUCEVILLE-EDDY (N. TROY CITY LIMIT TO WOODLAWN RD.)

MILESTONES

  • Paved the northbound frontage road from Big Elm Rd. to Old Blevins Rd.
  • Demolished the FM 107/SH 7 bridge.
  • Set beams on the new UPRR bridges.

DOWN THE ROAD

  • Continue construction on the new southbound frontage road at FM 107. 
  • Continue tying in new side streets along the southbound frontage road between UPRR and FM 107.
  • Continue working on the bridge deck for new UPRR bridges.
  • Continue working on the new retaining walls at the UPRR crossing.
  • Continue work on the new northbound mainlanes overpass at Old Blevins.
  • Continue work on the east half of the new southbound frontage road between FM 107 and N. Eddy Dr.
  • Complete new southbound mainlanes overpass at Big Elm Rd.
  • Continue construction of the northbound mainlanes bridge at Big Elm Creek.
  • Continue paving the northbound frontage road between Old Blevins Rd. and FM 107.
  • Continue working on and paving new entrance and exit ramps between Big Elm Rd. and Old Blevins.
  • Start on the retaining walls at the new FM 107 underpass.

SECTION 3B: LORENA TO HEWITT (WOODLAWN RD. TO SUN VALLEY BLVD./FM 2063)

MILESTONES

  • Repaired concrete pavement in eight areas that were previously damaged by fire.
  • Completed Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations inspection repairs.
  • Installed conductors for dynamic message signs.

DOWN THE ROAD

  • Complete installation of the dynamic message sign system.

SECTION 4A: WACO ACCESS ROADS (MLK TO TAYLOR)

LANE CLOSURES

  • North-to-south access roads and the turnaround from MLK Blvd. under I-35 at the UPRR crossing have been permanently closed. New access roads and railroad crossing bridges will be constructed to replace them.
  • The southbound frontage road turnaround between Forrest St. and UPRR has been closed permanently at Cherry St.
  • Forrest St. Bridge is closed.

MILESTONES

  • Began building the roadway embankment between MLK Blvd. and the northbound frontage road bridge.

DOWN THE ROAD

  • Continue building the roadway pavement concrete between Forrest St. and the northbound frontage road.
  • Complete installing the manholes, inlets, and lateral lines on both sides of the highway.
  • Complete the retaining walls on all four quadrants of the UPRR crossing.
  • Continue working on the Peach St. connection to the southbound frontage road.
  • Continue construction of the bridge rail.
  • Continue construction of the northbound and southbound frontage-road bridge rails.
  • Continue construction of the remaining retaining walls.
  • Complete building the roadway embankment between MLK Blvd. and the northbound frontage road bridge.
  • Continue construction of utility lines along both the southbound and northbound frontage roads.
  • Continue construction on Spring St.
