SECTION 2B: TEMPLE (S. LOOP 363 TO N. LOOP 363)

MILESTONES

  • Completed construction of northbound mainlane pavement from the BNSF Belco overpass north through the remainder of the project.
  • Completed construction of the BNSF Lampasas Sub northbound mainlane overpass.

DOWN THE ROAD

  • Continue constructing the northbound mainlanes and northbound frontage road overpasses at the BNSF Belco Railroad Yard.
  • Continue construction of the BNSF underpass.
  • Continue construction of the west side of the Adams/Central Ave. interchange.
  • Continue installation of the project power grid and roadway lighting.
  • Continue construction of various overhead sign columns and the concrete rail throughout the project.
  • Continue installing overhead sign trusses at various locations throughout the project.
  • Complete the northbound frontage road between Adams/Central Ave. and Nugent Ave.
  • Complete northbound frontage road and new Adams/Central off-ramp north of Lampasas Sub Overpass.
  • Switch northbound mainlane traffic from the Belco Bridge area to tie into the adjacent project north of Loop 363.
  • Switch northbound mainlane traffic onto the final pavement from the south end of the project to the Belco Bridge area.

SECTION 3A-1: TEMPLE TO TROY (N. LOOP 363 TO N. TROY CITY LIMIT)

  • Completed laying the final asphalt layer at the frontage roads.
  • Completed pouring driveways at various locations on the northbound frontage road.

DOWN THE ROAD

  • Continue working on the northbound-frontage road between Berger/Hart Rd. and FM 1237.
  • Continue working on the North Troy intersection, Berger/Hart Rd. intersection, FM 1237 intersection, and West Main St./FM 935.
  • Continue surface preparation for final striping for the northbound and southbound mainlanes.
  • Continue final striping for the northbound and southbound mainlanes.
  • Begin the final striping on the northbound and southbound frontage roads.
  • Continue shaping ditches on the east side of the northbound frontage road.
  • Continue installing mailboxes at the northbound frontage road.
  • Continue installing the metal-beam guard fence at various locations on the northbound frontage road.
  • Continue installing concrete riprap and stone riprap for culverts at various locations on the northbound frontage road.
  • Continue setting the control cabinets at various locations through the project.

SECTION 3A-2: TROY TO BRUCEVILLE-EDDY (N. TROY CITY LIMIT TO WOODLAWN RD.)

  • Completed the bridge rail on the new FM 107 bridge.
  • Began installing mailbox posts at the northbound frontage road.
  • Began installing the metal-beam guard fence at various locations on the northbound frontage road.

  • Began shaping ditches on the east side of the northbound frontage road.
  • Began installation of new dynamic message signs.
  • Began re-surfacing FM 107/3rd St. in Bruceville-Eddy.
  • Began construction of new sidewalks in Bruceville-Eddy.

DOWN THE ROAD

  • Continue construction on the new southbound frontage road at FM 107.
  • Continue construction on the new northbound frontage road at FM 107.
  • Complete constructing new drainage structures along the northbound frontage road.
  • Complete new northbound mainlanes between Old Blevins Rd. and FM 107.
  • Continue working on the east retaining wall at the new FM 107 underpass.
  • Continue working on the new intersection of the northbound frontage road and FM 107.
  • Continue working on the new FM 107 bridge.
  • Continue surface preparation and the final striping for the northbound and southbound mainlanes.
  • Continue pouring driveways at various locations on the northbound frontage road.
  • Continue installing concrete riprap and stone riprap for culverts at various locations on the northbound frontage road.

SECTION 4A: WACO ACCESS ROADS (MLK TO TAYLOR)

LANE CLOSURES

  • North-to-south access roads and the turnaround from MLK Blvd. under I-35 at the UPRR crossing have been permanently closed. New access roads and railroad crossing bridges will be constructed to replace them.
  • The southbound frontage road turnaround between Forrest St. and UPRR has been closed permanently at Cherry St.

MILESTONES

  • Opened up the Forrest Ave. Bridge eastbound and westbound.
  • Closed the old southbound MLK Exit.
  • Opened traffic to the new southbound MLK Exit.

DOWN THE ROAD

  • Complete the concrete rail at the four corners of the Forrest Ave. intersection.
  • Complete the raised islands at the Forrest Ave. intersection.
  • Complete the northbound entrance ramp on the north side of MLK.
  • Install pavement markings on the northbound entrance ramp. 
  • Continue working on the southbound frontage road south tie-in to existing pavement.

SECTION 4B: WACO 12TH STREET TO N. LOOP 360

  • Plan the second public meeting with the available schedule and plan for construction.
